EYFS Curriculum
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework
This document sets the standards that school and childcare providers must meet for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5.
The EYFS framework:
- sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well.
- ensures children are kept healthy and safe.
- ensures that children have the knowledge and skills they need to start school.
All teaching at St. George's Early Years is based on the sound knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and the Development Matters non-statutory goverment guidance which supports our practitioners to implement a high-quality and research-informed curriculum. Teaching concentrates on 7 areas of learning that are equally vital to children’s development.
